The more we go, the more we are confused.
This dram comes from South Africa, a land that doesn’t have legal regulations about rum production.
But this dram has its own regulations.
African rum, according to Whistler must be produced, born and bred in Africa with African equipment and local sugar cane. And it has to be aged in at least one barrel that previously contained African spirits.
This dram was even aged in seven different barrels using Spanish Solera Sistem.

AROMA & NOTES:
ON THE NOSE IS FRUITY WITH SLIGHTLY ALCOHOL BURN. ON THE PALATE FULL BODY RUM WITH OAK AROMA ON THE FIRST TOUCH, WITH DRIED BERRY FRUIT,BUT LATER THE FINISH IS MORE SPICY WITH LIGHTLY VEGETAL NOTES WHICH ARE REVEALED AT THE END.
