APPEARANCE
Chairman’s Reserve The Forgotten Casks rum is clear in the glass. Intensity is deep with amber to brown color. According to the nice lady on Bar Convent Berlin 2024 there are no added colors in it.
NOSE
Clean with pronounced intensity. Very pleasant notes of caramel, chocolate and oak with light smoke. Dried raisins comes on the second sniff. On the third sniff is orange with some sort of nutty aroma present.
PALATE
Off-dry and mouthfilling with medium intensity. Salty caramel and chocolate paired with a light smokiness. Very pleasant with long finish and some complexity, mostly the caramel, milk chocolate and some dried fruits.
CONCLUSION
Very good spirit, perfect for beginners who are interested in rum tasting, because it is not overly complex and it develops its aroma slowly but constantly all the time.
